2023 was certainly a strong year for films and I'm not surprised Oppenheimer nabbed so many Oscars. I also did go and see The Zone of Interest and agree that it's an incredibly important film, highlighting the cold-hearted cruelty of the Nazis, which to me is incomparable to anything else we have seen in our lifetimes. However, (and I know you don't care too much for the speeches but...) I was pretty shocked to learn that Jonathan Glazer stated he refuted his Jewishness in his acceptance speech. It goes to show just how different perceptions of the same situation can be.
