A Brief Magical Mystery Tour of My High School Days
What a dreamy time that was…not!
Apparently, sharing memories of the good ole days of high school, or secondary school as we called it, is all the rage. I was tagged by Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles to respond this prompt so here goes…
Disclaimer: a lot of these questions are distinctly American and may be impossible to answer.
What year did you graduate?
Er…I left school in 1993. We didn’t have the whole ceremonial graduation thing. Nor did we have proms. Just a party on a boat on the river with a smart-casual dress code.
In fact, the best part of finishing my A Level exams was walking out of my final one to be met by a carful of people and driven straight down to Glastonbury Festival. Who needs graduation when you can go and hang out in a field or twenty, see a whole host of incredible live music performances, watch live theatre moving around the circus field, attend solar-cooking workshops in the Green Field, and go for a full-body mud cleanse in the Healing Field?
