B, I am so sad this happened to you. I completely understand your sensitive side and really fear criticism myself.

It was a brilliantly written article and there was nothing racist about it. Unfortunately, because of the subject matter, it attracted all of the genuinely racist trolls. And yes, that’s an unfortunate truth about the online world but you shouldn’t let that stop you from writing what is in your heart.

At the same time, there is nothing wrong with retaining some anonymity if that makes you feel safer. You don’t have to share photos of yourself and of your life to enjoy the writing journey.
