Bless you, Doug! I feel guilty writing this but neither my sister nor I had a good role model in our mother. We've been far from perfect but we've definitely not been selfish, and that has paid back dividends in our relationships. Perhaps it's just that we (and Darcy) are part of a more self-aware generation and we can reflect more easily on our own upbringing. That's what I always assume, anyway :)
