…. I speak some Spanish, not much, but he was glad I made an effort to communicate with him. I tried. Spanish and Portuguese are different languages, but he had a lovely and kind soul.

Eek! i am off to Portugal in a couple of days and was just thinking today how I don't know any Portuguese. And I like to be able to speak at least a little of the local language when I travel.
