Excellent piece. I spent this morning writing something to try to lay out the very same perspective you have shared here and it all felt too raw and close to home to make sense. I have relatives too close to it all - a cousin's daughter who was at that festival and her brother who lost an entire group of friends in the massacre. My cousin won't leave her kids alone now.
