As a British-Israeli living in the UK but with family directly affected, even caught up in the events of October 7th, I am appalled to see the number of my 'liberal' friends sharing this rhetoric about "Free Palestine" and the "oppressive Israeli occupation spanning 75 years". It seems people no longer understand the true meaning of compassion anymore. It's now a label that fits a narrative, devoid of true understanding.
