When it comes to this question, I don't feel inclined to challenge how Medium decides to pay its writers, or who get the big slices. I think we come here to share our thoughts and stories, grow our networks, and make friends. It contributes to a writing business if that's what we want but it can never be relied on to offer a sustainable income. Good months are a bonus, and if we want to build writing businesses, we make a more comprehensive plan, in which Medium is only a part.
