Great piece, Jill. I feel very much the same as you. We need to fully engage our senses again. Be in the same room as the musicians, dance, talk to people’s faces. I do understand the fear but I don’t know if, when you take away the moral side of keeping our distance from others, it really serves any valuable purpose.
I also think that perhaps here in the U.K. we already have much less fear than in other parts of the world, since mask mandates have been dropped and cases are also dropping fast. It’s a relief and I see it on everyone’s faces, at least, those who are no longer wearing masks, since around 50% are still wearing them.
