I can't imagine the grief.

A good friend of my daughter lost her mother when she was eleven, before we knew them. Thankfully, she and her younger sister were left with the coolest and most loving dad, and were surrounded by friends who took amazing care of them. But every time I thought about the grief they must have experienced, I jut couldn't fathom it.
