I completely agree with all you say. My parents got married in Israel and lived there for the first couple of years of their marriage but my father could see that Israel would be at war, as he said "for the next 50 years" and decided he wanted to bring his children up in the UK. That was in 1973. They left just before the Yom Kippur War. Just over 50 years later, this war broke out. It has never ended and finding an end to the violence needs to be the priority, in my opinion.
