I completely agree with you, Susan, re the skill involved in writing something worth reading in so few words. My problem with reading shortform is that I have read a lot that don't get around to sayng anything, but that's not the point.

Have you had a look at the 100 word memoirs in The Memoirist? That's been a fabulous challenge and people do write incredible, tiny stories in only 100 words!
