I did learn the story about Masada many years ago. The whole history of the Jews and Judea has been very twisted over time. The saddest thing is that people have come to be repelled by anything related to talk of Jews through all of this twisting, and it makes it very hard to simply get through to otherwise compassionate humans. And yes, the Romans were brutal, and then blamed it on the Jews. Ah well, we keep going, nonetheless.
