I guess it's a gamble whichever way you look at it.
Having two young girls was really hard but I remember watching my friend with her only child, then six, and watching how she could barely get a break from the one-to-one intensity of their relationship. I believe I was better off on many occasions.
My girls also went through a phase of fighting awfully but, eventually, they got on wonderfully, and I honestly think they all really helped each other through the isolation of the lockdowns, simply by being there.
Really interesting research though, Michelle. It makes a lot of sense.
