I had my girls in my twenties and then let seven years pass before having my third. He has just turned ten while my youngest daughter is 18 months off finishing school. Every now and then I wonder what my life would be like had I stopped at 2, with both girls close to independent... I know I am not an older mother as such but I really have felt the difference between mothering young ones in my twenties/early thirties and bringing my sin up in my forties.
