I love this. I was telling my dad and sister recently about how my favourite Christmas decorations ever were the ones I made with my daughters in around 2011 out of the insides of toilet rolls and coffee filter papers. I have a photo somewhere, I am sure. They don't last like salt dough does and so we have none left now but they lasted until just last year or the year before.
