I think it's a great reflection on you that you are willing to question your own actions and attitudes. But, as the group admin said, you did nothing wrong and Rebecca was overstepping the mark completely.

And who cares if you are being "too traditional" by some people's standards? We are all entitled to our preferences and it doesn't mean we are dismissing anyone by having them and being honest about them.
