I very much agree that Israel needs to halt and work much harder on negotiations - not necessarily bend to Hamas's whims but keep offering and keep negotiating, no matter what.

And of course, the biggest problem is the narrative - this indigenous people thing. Yes there were indigenous Arabs there but a huge swathe of Arabs that were living in Palestine in 1947-8 were new arrivals from other Arab countries over the previous decades. And not forgetting that the colonialist theory falls utterly flat when you look at how many countries the Arabs colonised over several hundred years. Whereas the Jewish race...well, I don't need to say any more.
