I went to the village primary school in Islip and our field trips were always out to Otmoor. And my dad used to take us camping on Otmoor in the summer. I never saw a snake there though.

I have seen a few adders down here in Devon. One slithering through the gorse and bracken on Dartmoor, a baby one coiled up next to a tor, and then a large one along the coastal path when I was veering off it to find somewhere to pee. I changed my mind and held on 😁
