In general, I am a very confident driver - where I live we have narrow lanes and high hedges and so you have to develop sharp reactions, good reversing skills, and be able to squeeze past another car in a very narrow spot, with mere centimetres to spare. However, snow and ice terrify me. I have refused to take my son to school on occasions because I was so freaked out. One time, the head teacher drove up the hill to meet me and take my son and the other 2 boys I was driving down to the school because I was too shaken by the ice to drive down the long, steep hill.

I write creative nonfiction essays and poetry. Rethinking life through my words. Sometimes too seriously, sometimes not seriously enough.
