It all makes such a lot of sense. I remember spending a year volunteering in Nepal and starting to feel so bored of the same food, the same chai shop, the same people, and wondering how I had found it so thrilling previously. You have to stick it out and move to the next stage, but most travellers know they have the freedom to just move on, and so they will.
