It baffles me that in 2022 we are still dealing with these patriarchal attitudes. As a breastfeeding mama I always feigned some kind of bravery about getting my boobs out in public, but the truth is that when I went alone to town with my baby, I knew where the cafes with the "breastfeeding welcome" signs were, especially the ones with the quiet back rooms, because, no matter how natural it is, we never stop feeling exposed to gawkers.

Great article, Danielle, but jees, I can imagine how hard p.e.n.s. was to deal with as a teenager.
