It was a lesson for them both to hopefully learn from. His love for her was shallow, and he should never have married her, but he did. She went through a depression but fell in love with someone much better suited to her. Neither were mature enough to make lifelong marriage vows in the first place. That doesn’t make them bad guys. Just immature. Hopefully they will take some wisdom from their experiences and move onto joyful relationships from here on.
