It’s not so different here in the U.K. The more we spend our days trying to change people’s minds by using manipulative, belittling strategies, the sadder humanity seems to become.
I can’t think of a bigger waste of time than trying to change someone’s mind through tapping away at a keyboard. No matter how clever you are with your words, at showing your opponent to be totally wrong (while you remain on that moral high ground), these kinds of arguments do nothing to help our causes. Better to do something productive and positive. Go and help someone who needs it, go outside your house and smile and say hello to someone, or keep on creating and put more positive energy out into the world.
