I've also been very pleasantly surprised by the impact the changes have made and haven't actually noticed the negative stuff. I may even have setting that means that I only get notified if the tagger is someone I follow.

I'm sure there will be plenty of teething troubles for Medium but hopefully it will continue to pan out well for us genuine writers.
