Klara, our British summers can be dull and cool and we can barely hit 25 C on the days the sun decides to shine. Or we can end up with a heatwave and the country falls apart.

We did have temperatures similar to this but not quite as high in 2003. (although I was living in France and it was about 10 degrees hotter! That was unbearable.)

Basically, we have never seen consistently hot summers. And, generally, we would only care for air conditioning for around 3-4 weeks per year at most.
