Let's just get one thing clear - the jihadist groups that have continually taken the reins when it comes to Palestine have (a) never wanted peace with Israel but rather have wanted to erase Israel altogether, and (b) never given one iota for the lives of civilians of Palestine. Yes, the war is brutal and no I don't support it. Personally, I think other means of negotiations should have been tried far earlier. But I also don't consider it "Israel's war" as you put it because it was unleashed entirely by Hamas with the Iranian regime behind it. Hamas has been unleashing war on the Palestinian people since it took over Gaza through every means possible. Hamas can end the war today and Israel will happily put down its weapons and work with the entire world to give rights and equality to a Palestinian people operating through peaceful relations. But there's no reasoning with Hamas and so I choose to turn to my own prayers for peace and unity with good-hearted people the world over.
