Life coaching is a blanket term. I got the certificate purely to have a certificate, but I was already coaching people on practical skills in social media marketing before that, and now that’s what I continue to do.

However, I spoke to a lot of people who had goals but no clarity on how to reach them. By asking the right questions you help them to see where they need to put their attention and efforts.

When it comes to needing encouragement, I absolutely see where you are coming from. However, a lot of the adults I coached were coming from paid corporate employment and the idea of creating their own business, in which they had to shed the security of the employer who paid them a set amount every month, and look to themselves to generate that same income or more, would fill them with such a lot of fear that it would stop them in their tracks. Big life changes often require a superhuman strength of mind, and sometimes people just need to be shown and reminded that they can do it.

Thanks for reading Tessa.
