My comment about being worryingly normal is really tongue-in-cheek. I am happy in my own skin while living with one foot, and sometimes more, outside the box.
And no, I never desired fame. Like many extroverted introverts with a creative flair, I have sought to find a balance between being out there and not attracting too much attention. And discovering if it's possible to get by on our creative talents while remaining true to ourselves definitely requires some serious ego work as well as the willingness to simply do what makes me happy without having to concern myself with the outside world.
Thanks so much for reading and for sharing your thoughts, Grimsby :)
