My daughter has just gone to university after 2 years of “frivolity”. But what with Covid plus my own experience of being pushed into starting my degree before I felt ready, there was no way I was telling her that she had to go and get her degree. I’m glad I watched her grow up through solo travels in countries I have never been to.
