My favourite pub in Oxford was always the Turf Tavern.

…u. (This is the cold apparently all freshers, or freshmen, get their first semester at University.) So we had a minor change of plans and he took me to the King’s Arms, a pub in Oxford that’s been standing since 1609.

My favourite pub in Oxford was always the Turf Tavern. My second was The Trout, which I went to throughout my childhood and teen years as part of our weekend traditions of dog walks in Port Meadow and swimming close by in the summer.
