My impression is that kids see the possibilities in front of them more these days than when we were their age. For me, there was a lot of pressure on me to know what career path I wanted to follow, and when I was told that my chosen subjects of English and theatre studies would most likely lead to teaching, I lost my will to keep going with them. I had a volcano of creativity inside of me wanting to explode, not end up in a classroom.

But my kids see what's possible - one of the benefits of the online world and its accessibility. My daughter knows that there is a world of film and fashion that she can pursue and has every intention of doing so. And I will encourage it all the way!
