Nice! Good for you and good for her!

I very much enjoyed my extensive travels too, living with families and learning the local cultural ways, being very much accepted and befriended with a great emphasis on mutual respect. I know I often paid "Western prices" and was perfectly happy to do so. I wouldn't expect to be charged as the locals did while being a tourist. But I do say no to bullies - especially if they bully their own as well as westerners - and this guy was mild compared to some I encountered or heard about.
