Obviously there's not enough detail in this to draw any kind of conclusion. There's going to be a difference in view quality, especially when you are getting external views as well as internal views. If you have dedicated followers who read your work, they will give you the higher read ratios, and then more "other" viewers will bring it down. So if your work is getting more views in general, your reads ration is likely to decrease.

I don't think read ratio should be taken too seriously, simply because there are so many factors that can impact it, whether or not there's a glitch. If you are getting plenty of views, that means you are doing great. If you are getting 30% read ration with a pretty high number of reads, you're doing great. In any case, you know your writing, you know your audience, therefore, you know that it is engaging for your audience. Period. Don't worry about the numbers too much. If the human interaction and feedback is happening, that's all that counts.

Medium's going to be having problems with their sysytems for a long time to come, I expect, so best thing is to chill, enjoy writing, and have fun with the community.
