Oh it's tough! I know it's going to be hard to persuade my dad to stop driving.

I've just been staying with my aunt whose kids tried to persuade her for years to stop driving. Then double pneumonia and a simultaneous heart attack at Christmas meant that the doctor ordered her to stop, and it's good. Her mind is still pretty good so she can at least see the rationale behind it, even though it took her a long time and nearly dying to agree with it.
