I can't say that I know a solution but communicating frankly yet sensitively is usually the best way. Talking honestly and listening to one another is the first way to reignite the feelings of love and care and attention. Perhaps he, too, wants to find a way to fall in love with you again and is ready to talk and listen openly. You never know until you try.
