Robert, have you heard the phrase "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all"? Unfortunately, there are too many people on this platform (as well as every social media site) that fail to heed this valuable advice. I nearly gave up on Medium before I ever published an article after reading the kind of unprovoked, ugly slagging-off that can happen here a few too many times. However, there are also so many decent and kind people who are here, that I decided to pursue. Unfortunately, some people have taken to this kind of vile personal take-down to grab some attention, because some people just love to get involved in bitching fests on social media.

On the plus side, it's quite well known in the social media world that you haven't "made it" until you have been called out by haters. So congratulations. Now look at how many supporters you have and compare it to the number of haters preying on you - vastly more of the supporters. The haters will keep coming but the supporters will come even faster, because you come from a place of humility, generosity, and kindness, and this counts for way more than being good at grammar.
