Thank you for this heartfelt response. You've no idea how much it means amid the current climate. I wrote this nearly three months ago now and the attitudes towards Israel have only grown worse, even as more information has been revealed about the Hamas massacre.

Yes, it's awful to watch the loss of life, especially that of young children, in Gaza. But the fact that Hamas is solely responsible for putting the population in this position is completely overlooked by the masses. I do feel that the Israeli government needs to look harder to non-violent means of finding a solution, but Hamas has pretty much proven that military force is the only way they are likely to be taken out of power, so there is little room for negotiation.
