Thanks for sharing this article with me, Ali. I have memories (and photos) from when we lived in Tanzania of my sister and me wearing just the bottoms of bikinis. And my sister liked to wear shorts with no tee shirt, because the boys did and she was a self-professed "tom-boy". However, a very Christian English woman told my parents that it was inappropriate attire for a girl. My parents told her where to go!

My girls wore no tops when I took them to India but in England they did want bikinis as little things. I always found the little tops so ridiculous but for them it was their version of trying to be grown ups!
