That last sentence is everything, Daphne. That's where everything feels so hard, like a brick wall. Because the Jewish people are innately good, loving, generous people, and yet the history has given everyone reason to hate Israel for its existence. Zionism is so many things and it does not have to be merely what other people assign to it. We have the right to claim it and know that we are doing so for the love of humanity.
