That's a beautiful story, Jesse. I had a similar encounter yesterday. Well, different, but meeting a stranger who took me to a different place and time. Funnily enough, it was my dog who ran up to him to say hello (and she is choosy about who she says hello to). We were walking in opposite directions on the beach but stopped and talked for a good 20 minutes or so. And I may never meet him again but, for those 20 minutes, we shared all sorts of interesting facts. Funny how life works.
