This is a really insightful article, Andy. It is a problem that it's being sold as an easy way to make big bucks, and that fuels a lot of the bad writing, from "here's how I got my 100 followers" to "Medium sucks and I've had enough".

Slowly but surely, I have found the people who just want to write stories and engage with other great writers, for the sake of community and great content to read. That is enough for me. The money earned is a bonus.
