This is nothing to be ashamed of at all. I know someone who worked as a pole dancer in London. She came from a family with no money. Everyone told her she was wasting her brilliant brains, after leaving school with straight 'A's and getting a degree in Art but she had plans. She bought a house in the part of London where the Olympics were due to take place (very cheap before the area was developed), paid for it with her dancing money, and, today, works as a trained nutritionist with a valuable house that she owns outright and is living the life that she always wanted to.
