This is really interesting Janice. Having moved a lot throughout my life including as a child when it wasn’t actually my choice I feel like I’ve finally understood what it means to feel at home and happy. Home doesn’t come from newness and freshness. If you expect a place that’s new to feel like home you will always be disappointed. Home comes when your soul starts to merge with the landscape and people. That can take years.
That’s my take anyway.
