I remember receiving the same call when my stepmother passed away and we went straight to the hospital at midnight. She too was positioned peacefully and beautifully in her bed so that we could see her and spend a moment in her presence.

There was something so profound and spiritual about that moment. They say that the spirit takes some time to pass over and it was like she was still there but in transition - a last goodbye.
