This is so interesting, Liberty! I know a few practicing witches around here. There used to be a witches gathering each year in Exeter. There's a big old tree there that the area is named after - Heavitree - because it was the tree that they would hang witches from. I haven't heard about the gathering happening since before Covid so I don't know if it's still a thing, but it certainly was pretty big before.
