Thoughtful piece, Chris. I have been traumatised by my mother always going on about how young she looks and trying so hard to seem young that I can't bear to start going down the road of resisting the natural course that aging takes. That said, it's also tough to see myself as the sagging, shrinking, tired-eyed old person when my daughter decides to grab a selfie of the two of us. Best just not to look, I say...
