Well said! Perhaps it's just a great piece of imagery that, because it is so ridiculous, no child would even consider as any kind of representation of reality. It was a favourite of all three of my children, and we still have the song from the theatre adaptation stuck in our heads, from seeing it twice on stage, care of my childhood best friend starring as Mummy. Cancel culture on children's literature is just a step too far.
