Well you made me cry. That was beautiful! And yes, we just don’t understand death. It’s this wild unknown. And so we don’t know how to deal with it. Our pets mean the world to us but their impact only stretched so far. Humans are mothers, daughters, lifelong best friends, encouragers, confidants and so much more. There literally are no words to console someone in grief from losing their human beloveds, so awkward nonsense is second best.
