What a wonderful piece, Anne. I think you are saying what a lot of us feel without putting it into words. For me, there is something beyond gender that enables two people to connect, while there is also something restrictive about the traditional view of man-woman monogamous relationships. Not that I have ever practised polyamoury but I know that there is a certain freedom when we are able to freely express attraction to others within a relationship.
